Silent Meditation Retreat (Samatha & Vipassana)

We present you the next online retreat with master Dhiravamsa. As we have done on previous occasions, we will use the Zoom platform to make this online retreat. The experience so far has been very positive so we are happy to repeat it with you one more time.

 

The retreat will be for three days, beginning Friday afternoon through Sunday lunchtime.

 

Dhiravamsa will give instructions in English and there will be simultaneous translation into Spanish.

 

On Friday, June 18, we will connect to the Zoom platform at 5:45 p.m. (Canary time), to check that we all connect well and understand the dynamics of the Zoom platform. At 6:00 p.m. (Canarian time) we will begin the retreat starting with the welcome and practical instructions for the three days. Then Dhiravamsa will give some basic instructions on meditation and we will do a sitting meditation.

 

On Saturday, June 19, we will do a full day of silent practice. We will be connected from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Canary time) with a complete program of meditation, instructions, dharma talk and guided chi kung or individual exercise (chi kung, yoga or any other physical exercise that is of your preference).

 

On Sunday, June 20, we will continue with the practice according to the day's program until lunchtime. Finishing around 1:30 p.m. (Canary time).

Practice:

We will focus on the practice of Ânâpânasati (Mindfulness with breath) and Mettâ (universal and uncondicional love and best wishes). Right understanding and practice leads us to full awakening.


Steps to follow to participate:

REGISTRATION OPEN UNTIL THURSDAY 17 JUNE AT 20h

 

1. Make a deposit of 30€ and send the receipt by email to: info@dhiravamsa.com, as well as your data to register (name, surname and email).

2. Once the deposit is received, you will receive in your email the meeting number and the zoom password to be able to access the retreat. They will be the same for the three days (June 18, 19 and 20, 2021)

 

3. You need to be registered and familiar with Zoom. It is recommended to have the application downloaded on your computer with all the updates up to date. It is asked to avoid nicknames in order to identify who is connected to the meeting.
